Hey,

I tried this back on o2/movistar without success with the GPON SFP module from fs.com, due tu incompatibility with the PLOAM password used by movistar network. I would need to flash it with a new firmware that support those ASCII encoded PLOAM password or try first this web editor to edit the binary config file directly with the ASCII password, I will probably try this soon, I need first to extract the PLOAM password from the exo ONT (or maybe it can be requested to support by email to avoid this step ?)

This is what I tried back then: Issue · GitHub

Did you try Carlitosxxpro firmware ?

how can i flash a firmware in the sfp module ?

now that you mentioned carlitosxxpro firmware, that remembered me to these videos and this guy (Álex Ariza):

I tríed this method too and it don’t work

i don’t know how to flash carlitos firmware that seems that works better

Finally i buy a Carlitoxxpro gpon sfp

I see docs and reviews and it seems the best solution

Let me know how it goes

I did not try the carlitoxxpro firmware directly, I need to check the docs how to flash it if I need to, but on my current setup I am not sure I will put the GPON SFPs as my router is already getting quite hot so probably it’s better to keep the external ONT (I would probably check to get one that has SNMP support to I can get the optical metrics to be monitored)

For now, no issues connecting it to the SFP+ port of a MikroTik CRS310-8G+2S+IN.

The switch gets a bit warm, but that’s because it’s in a rack with poor ventilation.

I need a bit of time to work on it properly, but so far everything is perfect.

On Monday I’ll receive the new 100% CarlitosXXPro module.

There’s also useful information on the hack-gpon website, and using AI it guides you through the whole process step by step.
